Welcome to the Friendship Center, where all generations come together for friendship and learning. We offer a full-day program for children ages two through Pre-K. Established in 1992, the Friendship Center at Schooley’s Mountain is a not-for-profit intergenerational Child Care Center. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees committed to linking retired men and women to the learning experience of children.

Small Enrollment

Our enrollment is intentionally small, so that we can provide each child with the kind of individual attention that is critical during a child’s early development. Please call Director Jennifer Jensen at 908-852-2221 to inquire about class availability.

Unique Intergenerational Setting

Our intergenerational environment promotes interaction between our students and the retired residents who live at Heath Village Retirement Community. Our award-winning Pen Pal program has served as a model for child care programs around the world.

Whole Child Focus

Our school is committed to creating programs that benefit the whole child -- their physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs are all important. We do so in a caring, Christian environment.
